What is the John C. Fremont Library Homebound Program?

The Homebound Program is a personalized service provided by the John C. Fremont Library to those in our community who are unable to visit the library due to a temporary or an extended disability or illness.

Who is Eligible?

Any resident of the John C. Fremont Library District who are homebound are eligible for materials from the library.

What can I borrow?

You may borrow books, books on CD, magazines, and Music CDs. You may also place holds and request items through Interlibrary Loan.

How long do I get to keep the items checked out to me?

All materials are available with the same loan period of two weeks. You may also request an extended loan period when you sign up for the program.

Are there any Fees or Fines associated with this program?

There is no charge for this program! Homebound patrons are exempt from all overdue fines. Homebound patrons are however responsible for replacement costs from damaged or lost materials.
