Kieran’s Notes from the back room : Well, you know how we here at the John C. like to keep you guessing (and how much we love change), so hold onto your socks. In the next few weeks we will be unveiling our new website. In this case, change IS good (and pretty… I like pretty.) A major aspect of a good website is content (content – you know like the words and things rather than the format). And keeping your interest in our website means keeping the content fresh. Fresh…new…mmm that makes me think of fresh baked bread. Yup, I took home a cook book the other day and I am enjoying fresh baked bread. Food is quite something isn’t it; more than a simple building block for our bodies, food can be an emotional experience. Our programs for the month of February here at the John C. have an unintentional food theme. We are showing the movie “Food, Inc” on Tuesday Feb. 2 at 6:30 pm and on Tuesday Feb. 23^rd at 6:30 pm we are showing “Julie & Julia”. You can bring your sweetie as a Valentine movie date…. you did remember to get a card didn’t you? (We have cards for sale here at the John C. if you forgot) If not, maybe you can stop by the library on a Wednesday morning and knit a gift with the Wool Gatherers group. Stop on by the back room and I’ll see if I can find a piece of candy to go with it… I think we have some leftover from Halloween. Or we can chat about your favorite comfort foods!
